"LOVE At Home" Photo Contest

As promised in the email, we are announcing our first event of Spring 2020!

“LOVE at Home” photo contest.

We are in this together! We know everyone should STAY at HOME to flatten the curve. The “LOVE at HOME” photo contest is for those of you who want to do the right thing: to save lives and to be well by staying at home together. Let’s try to capture the beautiful moments, the raw emotions of our children, our family, and us. You may use your phone or your DSLR camera and your favorite editing app! As long as the photos are taken by YOU, you are eligible to submit an entry of up to THREE photos per family. All photos must be taken following our current Stay at Home / Social distancing regulation. (Please see the rules below).

First Place: One winner: $300 Gift Certificate for YWP (raffled)
Second Place: TWO winners: $150 Gift Certificate for YWP (raffled)
The Most Popular Photo: $500 Gift Certificate for YWP (by the public vote)
Top 10 Photos: featured in YWP's future "STAY at HOME" campaigns, website, and YWP magazines. (Judges for this acknowledgment are professional photographers, no prize)

RULES:

All photos (taken by only you) should be sent to info@yellowhale.com with your first and last name in the subject line. We will add it to our album of the Photo Contest with your name. Captions are optional within the email.

1. The photos must be taken at home (inside the house or in your backyard, porch, no park or sidewalk or neighbors are allowed.)

2. The photos must be of your immediate family members only: yourself, your child(ren), your pets, or your family. Empty rooms without your family members are not accepted.

3. The photos must be taken between March 8th, 2020 and April 30th, 2020

4. Show the “LOVE at Home” - The theme is to show the emotions that are happy or sad we share during the “STAY at HOME” time as a family.
A caption would be a wonderful addition to be featured in our future post/campaign and increase your chance to win the popular vote!

5. You can submit up to three photos (to increase the chance to win!) per family. ( minimum 1600px in longer side )

6. The photos must be kid and family friendly. (No nudity, no violence, no cruelty, and etc.) Only acceptable images will be entered to the contest.

7. You can share your photos as much as you want only by the official contest album link and obtain votes (for the most popular prize). Vote ends by midnight Wednesday 4/29.

8. I will give two tickets to the first image, and one ticket each to the second and the third image. So you can have four tickets altogether. Then the winners will be raffled off! The video of the drawing lots will be live-streamed on April 30th at 9PM on our Instagram Live.

9 Only one prize per family. The most popular prize winner can not win any other prize.

Below are more important rules to follow:

10. BINDING AGREEMENT: In order to enter the LOVE at HOME photo contest, all Entrants, including the parent or guardian of any Youth Entrants, must agree to these Official Rules (“Rules”). Because these Rules form a legally binding agreement with respect to this Contest, please read them carefully. If Entrant, or the parent or guardian of a Youth Entrant, does not agree to the Rules, Entrant is not eligible to participate in the LHPC or to win any of the prizes. Entrant, or the parent or guardian of a Youth Entrant, agrees that his/her registration as an individual participant under the LHPC constitutes his/her agreement to these Rules.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY: Entrants retain ownership and all other rights to future use of the photographs they enter except for the following: Your entry to the contest constitutes your agreement to allow your entered photographs—and your name, occupation, city, state, country of residence and photo information—to be published as Winners or Honorable Mentions in Yellowhale Portrait magazine and on the YWP website, and you grant to YWP and its licensees the perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entry (along with a name credit) in connection with the LOVE at HOME Photo Contest (“LHPC”) and promotion for the LHPC and Yellowhale Portrait magazine, in any media now or hereafter known, including but not limited to use in the online Photo(s) of the Week and Caption Contest features, and use in YW photography exhibits. From time to time we feature Entrant's non-donated images on commercial products and services, however we will contact you for permission for use.
