1. What is YWP Lifestyle session like?

Lifestyle Photo session is our client’s favorite and great for newborn, children, family portraits. It is designed to create swoon-worthy images of the essence of your family’s everyday love and connection. Every family has a story and Kyung will blends herself into your story and capture your conversation, hugs, kisses, and giggles. Your photo session itself will turn into a family playdate that will then transform into stunning portrait art. Kyung helps you from selecting location, planning outfits, designing your image displays, and to customizing entire your portrait experience. Ultimately, you will have a hand holding experience from the initial consultation to immediately surround yourself with all of your favorite images to cherish for years to come. Lifestyle session can be scheduled all year around at your home, on location, or at the studio.

2. How far in advance does Kyung book?

Typically, Kyung books about four-six weeks in advance. In the busy fall season(October/November), her calendar fills up about two months in advance.

3. How should I prepare for the session?

At your pre-consultation, Kyung will discuss the style, location, what to wear, and how to prepare to achieve the best result of your photo session thoroughly. It is one of Kyung's many expertises (she used to work for Calvin Kein as a designer) and she will give you resources to make your prep stress free.

4. What if it rains or my child is sick on our scheduled session date?

The weather changes frequently in our states Maryland /DC/Virginia, we have not had much occasion that we had to cancel it completely. But if it does sprinkles, we will make the judgement call on the day of the session. We may delay the session till it gets clear or move the location to our studio where we can still get beautiful images while it is raining outside. Reschedule due to sickness is made case by case with a proper notice.

5. What happens after the photo session?

Within a week after the photo session, you will be meeting with Kyung (or our design staff) in person or on line to review the gallery to select the best way to enjoy your favorite images. All products are sold a la carte. Prints will be delivered in 4 weeks, the books in up to 8~16 weeks.

6. How much is a session and how much do clients typically spend?

Kyung's session fee is $450 which includes her time and talent during our photo shoot, a pre-session consultation, and a private ordering appointment with our design staff. Most clients spend an average of $3500-6500.

7. Do you offer digital files?

Digital files are available, but they are not amongst the speciality products offered within our studio. We are a boutique portrait studio that specializes in creating custom art pieces for clients: heirloom albums, beautifully designed birth announcements, stunning pieces of art that grace our client’s homes. Our clients love walking away with finished pieces that they know will someday be passed down to their children.

8. Can I buy gift certificate for a friend?

Absolutely – they’re available in any amount starting at $50. We’re happy to ship to the recipient on your behalf or to you. A great baby shower gift!
