Musician’s portraits: $200

The musician’s portrait session is for the music seniors (or any other age) that would like to capture a memorable moment and get some fantastic pictures with their instrument. Having these meaningful portraits done before going off to college would be an unforgettable celebration for you and your parents. Because the images will represent who you became and how much you grew with music.

To the moms and dads: you remember when your child first started her lesson. Music is a discipline that requires a tremendous amount of time and hard work. The photo session will bring a special moment to appreciate your child and her passion. And of course, they will be your treasure forever. Even if they had done individual senior portraits a couple of months earlier, these portraits will celebrate her success in a substantial way. Once she leaves for college, this opportunity to capture may not come back.

“Music is a discipline

that requires a tremendous amount of time and hard work. The photo session allowed our daughter to have a moment to appreciate her instrument in a special way. Kyung is amazing with kids and is able to draw out their unique personalities with ease. Needless to say, Gracie had an amazing time at the photo shoot. The photos are beautiful. They will serve as a constant reminder of what has become a big part of her life - hard work, an appreciation of music, and great memories with close friends. As a mom, these photos trigger fond memories of her growing and achieving her dreams through music - I still remember when she, at the age of seven, got her first 1/4 size violin, and look forward to the many years ahead.” - June Yoon

“I was so touched

when I first saw my daughter’s pictures taken in the last semester of her senior year by Kyung. Each picture captures a smile, a look, a mood - seemingly unscripted, whether it be silliness, fondness of her instrument, fun with her friends, introspective moments - typical of a high school kid. It’s not like a studio picture you feel the smile or pose is forced. I feel “that’s her”, and “those are her moments” and the story is beautiful. In hindsight, these pictures are the gifts that keep giving. As I am writing this, we are still in the lockdown due to Covid 19. Many of the senior events and moments are slipping away. Though I am optimistic there will be many more unique celebrations as they embark on their next adventure, these may be the only pictures that capture the sense of ease of those ‘normal’ days.

Let me also share my observations on how Kyung worked. She spent a lot of time behind the scenes - from the appearance to the context - without losing sight of Zoe’s personality. Kyung also comes with a vision and she executes it with such hard work, incredible energy, and thoughtfulness.

So, don’t wait! Capture fleeting moments while you can, especially with the care, professionalism, and artistry of a wonderful photographer!” - Linda Fong

A gift to my family!

“Kyung’s “musician’s portrait experience” is a gift to my family. Each day, I walk into my piano room, see the picture of my daughter with her flute, I say “thank you”. We all know, Kyung is a talented photographer, not many know, she is a pianist herself, a daughter of an opera singer. The musician photo session for my daughter, a flautist, taken in Kyung’s Yellowhale Portraits Studio was absolutely divine. Kyung was able to see a deep connection in between the musician and her instrument, capture it with her magical lens. The only hard part was to pick and choose “the one” in the end. For my family, we ended up each picking a favorite one, and telling why. We know for sure, years later, the piano will be dusty in the living room, as parents, all we are left with, will be these pictures, priceless!” - Momo Yuzuki
